Providing the framework to implement an engaging, successful and compliant social media strategy for a UK spread betting start-up

As a new entrant to the industry our client wanted the confidence to implement a unique, market leading spread betting social media strategy built on its existing brand, within FCA guidelines.  The main objectives were to secure a significant share of the voice in social media, identify regulatory related risks and opportunities, and to establish a strategic framework for social media activities.

Black Swan Partners conducted an audit, SWOT analysis and channel identification across the UK spread betting social media landscape.  Black Swan Partners reviewed and interpreted FCA regulation to produce an easy to use handbook to allow the client to post efficiently in an engaging, on brand and compliant manner.  Finally, a social media strategy was developed to leverage our clients brand values and tone of voice.


The operator followed Black Swan Partners’ strategy to build an active presence on Facebook and Twitter, with in excess of 1,100 likes on Facebook and followers on Twitter from clients and potential clients.
